Self-Guided Noosa Everglades Kayak Tour

Adventure through the diverse waterways of the Noosa Everglades, located within the heart of the Cooloola section of the Great Sandy National Park during this 6-hour self-guided kayak tour. Witness native Australian animals in their natural habitat while immersing yourself in a gorgeous and remote environment. This is a well-supported tour with all of the assistance you need to become a confident kayaker.

Meet at Elanda Point National Park Canoe Launch at 8:30am to begin your self-guided adventure. On arrival, there is a small amount of paperwork  that will need to be filled out. Once completed and after being fitted comfortably in your kayak, you will be shown a map and taught all of the basic skills needed for an enjoyable paddle across Lake Cootharaba to Kinaba. From here you are free to explore where ever you want within the Noosa Everglades. Discover the lesser-paddled waters of Kin Kin Creek or enjoy the company of the mighty Noosa River. Weave in and out of the small islands which dot the northern reaches of Fig Tree Lake or test your paddling stamina by heading up to the iconic Harry’s Hut for a swim in the tea colored waters. You may even use you kayak to reach a wilder bush walking track within the Cooloola recreation area. Your possibilities are endless on this remarkable adventure. Return to the starting point at Elanda Point National Park, meet your instructor, and conclude your self-guided tour at 3pm. Pickup and drop-off is available via minivan for accommodations in the Noosa Area. The vehicle can seat up to 11 passengers and has heating and air-conditioning.
