Hiking Tour in Pasochoa Reserve from Quito

Trek in the Ecuadorian Andes on this full-day, small-group tour leaving from Quito. Explore the Pasochoa Reserve, located within the Avenue of Volcanoes and admire beautiful view points and keep your eyes out for wildlife, including the Andean condor. Roundtrip transport and a box lunch are included.

Pasochoa is a beautiful mountain in the Ecuadorian Andres, sitting at 13,776 feet (4,199 meters). This 4- to 6-hour medium-level trek is excellent for acclimatizing before you take on more challenging mountains such as Antisana and Chimborazo.

Your guide picks you up at your hotel at 8am and drive about 1.5 hours to the Pasochoa Reserve. Hike through amazing Páramo grasslands and cloud forests, home to Andean wildlife, including bulls, horses, hummingbirds, the viridian metal tail, mountain tanagers, red crested cotinga and the occasional Andean condor. We find over one hundred species of bird and 50 species of original Andean trees. The highlight of the Pasochoa trek is its humid cloud forest, situated inside an extinct volcanic crater near Quito.

Box lunch and pure water is included. You will return to your hotel in Quito at approximately 4pm.
