Express Tour: Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge from Dublin
This full-day trip to Northern Ireland's key sights allows you for a later departure and an earlier return back to Dublin. The tour includes no other stops except for rest stops along the way, meaning more time spent at the attractions - the magnificent Giant's Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.
Your first stop after an early morning departure from Dublin is a comfort stop at an Applegreen with restroom facilities, coffee shop, fast food restaurant and a convenient store, that is located halfway between Dublin and Giant's Causeway. You stop here for around ten minutes.
Next you arrive at Giant's Causeway which is free to visit. There is a 20-minute walk from the car park to the actual Causeway. Alternatively you can take the £1.00 shuttle (own expense) if you don't want to walk.
The next stop is breathtaking Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. As not everyone is brave enough to cross the bridge, crossing fee is not included in this tour. However, you can walk all the way up to the bridge for free.
Please note, there is no lunch stop for this tour. There are cafes and pubs next to the Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Locating right next to the attractions, they tend to be pricey, so bringing your own packed lunch is recommended.
Before returning to Dublin, you will stop at another Applegreen for a quick 10-minute comfort stop. You will be back in Dublin at approx. 7pm.
