Capilla del Hombre and Guayasamin's Museum
The Capilla del Hombre is the tribute museum to the most important Ecuadorian visual artist of all times, Oswaldo Guayasamín. Here you will find pre-Columbian archaeological objects, artifacts of colonial times and all the work and collection of this famous artist. Included in your ticket is the access to Guayasamín's Home, the same place where he lived and worked in his later years. Enjoy one of Quito's best attractions and sit down to enjoy the incredible view of Quito that the site offers!
In the Capilla del Hombre you will see the "Eternal Flame" advocating for peace and human rights, and the "Tree of Life", where the remains of the artist are. Included in your ticket is access to both Capilla del Hombre, the art museum, and Guayasamín's home, the same place where he lived and worked in his later years. Enjoy this attraction and sit down to enjoy the incredible view of Quito that the site offers!
Museum admission includes guided tours available in Spanish, English and French, starting every 20 minutes. The tour is about 45 minutes per museum, so we recommended scheduling at least 2 hours for this visit. The attraction features lockers for backpacks or luggage. Photography is not allowed inside the museum, but you can photograph the exterior and gardens.
The pass is valid for six months, but you can easily visit the attractions in few hours. At each attraction, simply present your voucher (either paper or mobile) at the ticket counter, and your pass will be scanned for entrance. You should only scan your ticket once at each attraction so you will have access to all 2 attractions.
