Bungle Bungle Explorer by Air and Land

Departing Broome, fly Eastwards over the majestic Kimberley landscape.During this 11 hour tour, you will fly over the famous beehive domes of the Bungle Bungle range, before landing for a 4WD and walking tour into the range, including lunch in the impressive Cathedral Gorge. The guide gives live commentary of the Bungle Bungle range and the Cathedral Gorge.

Fly back to Broome over the King Leopold Ranges, Windjana Gorge and the mighty Fitzroy River.

Its been around for 350 million years but the striking Bungle Bungle Range in World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park was a secret from the outside world until 1983. Today this maze of orange and black striped sandstone domes often likened to giant beehives, is one of the Kimberley's best loved attractions and a true bucket list item. A must see for any serious Kimberley visitor.

For this 11 hour tourm, you will be departing Broome as you will fly Eastwards on one of the most far reaching explorations of the Kimberley landscape possible in one day.

Stop for brief morning tea at the historic and remote Halls Ceek airfield, before flying overhead the famous beehive domes of the Bungle Bungle range. The aerial view of these rock formations is second to none.

You will then land and enjoy a 4WD tour of the Bungle Bungle range, and walk into the astonishing natural amphitheater of Cathedral Gorge for a packed lunch.

Relax and reflect in the afternoon on the flight back to Broome, passing overhead the ancient King Leopold Range and Windjana Gorge.

Complimentary transfer in our air conditioned bus will take you back to your accommodation or place of your choosing, perhaps for a celebratory beverage 

*A reasonable level of fitness and sturdy footwear is required for the walk, 3 KM return.
