The 1916 Easter Rising was one of the defining moments in the struggle for Irish independence and while the rebellion itself was unsuccessful, it is regarded as the turning point for the fortunes of Irish freedom fighters.

Your 90 minute adventure takes in The Custom House and Liberty Hall, where the plans for the Rising were hatched. The GPO on O’Connell Street, the headquarters and main battlefield of the Rising.
You can witness history here as many of the buildings and statues still bear scars from the battle which demolished much of the city’s main thoroughfare. From the city center it’s on to Boland’s Mill and Portobello Bridge, important flash points in the week long insurrection.
