Get down and dirty exploring the back tracks of the Tweed by a 4WD ex-Amy Land Rover. The Tweed is one of the most diverse regions in Australia for flora and fauna. Take a seat in the lead 4WD to experience the beauty of this region first-hand and enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you travel into the heart of the bush for a real Aussie Adventure. Don’t wear your Sunday best, as you are guaranteed to get dirty! You can join the tour at the departure point in Murwillumbah or include pickup and drop-off from Byron Bay or the Gold Coast.
Meet your guide at Murwillumbah, take your seat in the 8-seater 4WD ex-Amy Land Rover and get set to explore the back roads of the Tweed. Nestled under the watchful eye of Mount Warning, the Tweed valley is part of the largest erosion Caldera in the Southern Hemisphere.
Here the fun starts and you are guaranteed to get dirty as your 4WD heads right off road and into the heart of the bush.
Enjoy the morning views of Mount Warning and you’ll see why it is called Wollumbin or Cloud Catcher. From here it is time to get off road as your guide travels along dirt tracks to a secret location on a private property with purpose built 4WD tracks for some action-fuelled adventure.
Be prepared to get dirty before heading to one of the private swimming holes to wash the mud off and cool down. Enjoy a hearty lunch and a walk in the rainforest.
After lunch, take in the specular views as you head for the Border Rangers in the 4WD. Return to the departure point heading back through the caldera, stopping along the way for a swim.
