Morning Tea Walking Tour of Perth

Start your day in Perth exploring the Perth Town Hall, old theatre district, the original education precinct and The State Buildings - the former home to the General Post Office, Land Titles Office, Treasury and even Parliament. The morning tea tour is a professionally guided morning tour of Perth, including coffee/tea, chocolate tastings and entry to art galleries. The approach of this walk is informative, yet light-hearted and entertaining. Each tour incorporates “must know” historical information, but also contemporary features. Perfect for locals, first-time visitors to Perth and repeat visitors.

Time of operation: 10.00am – 12.00pm
Starting point: Perth Town Hall (corner Barrack and Hay St’s Perth, 6000)
End point: State Buildings (Corner Barrack St and St Georges Tce Perth, 6000)

Start your day in Perth with a morning tea walking tour. Enjoy a coffee or tea with a dash of history, culture and arts.

The tour will explore the Heritage Precinct of Perth, the old theatre district as well as former educational precincts. Enjoy a complimentary coffee or tea at popular local café with your guide, while you immerse yourself in the wonderfully re-purposed heritage building in a forgotten area of the city. Visit secret gardens, discover hidden art and visit a fine art gallery while learning some of the more interesting anecdotes about the city

At the conclusion of the tour your friendly guide will then escort you to one of the most significant and newly refurbished buildings in Perth, the State Buildings. Formerly home to the General Post Office, Land Titles Office, Treasury and Parliament; this complex contains 120 years of stories to share. These days, the State Buildings are home to a hotel and many food and beverage outlets including the renowned Sue Lewis Chocolatier.

Sue is a qualified chef with over 20 years of experience working in the London restaurant scene, who learnt the art of chocolate making under the direction of master chocolatier Paul A. Young. Enjoy a sample of her finest work and hear from the expert chocolatiers.

After the tour you are free to explore the new public spaces of the historic Cathedral Square and the brand new Elizabeth Quay.
