Spend a spectacular day in Juella, an ancient native village near Tilcara. Here you will have a soft trek through the archaeological site and practice climbing and rappelling in this wonderful place immersed in Andean culture. Discover multicolored and eroded hills, a product of millions of years of erosion along with the history of the area.
The tour starts at 9am with the pick up from the hotel in Tilcara. Once inside the bus, you will take the rural road known as "La Banda", which runs through an agricultural area where we will observe plantations of fruits and vegetables.
After 9km, we reach Juella for a hike of 2 to 3 hours (depending on the physical level of the group) where you will visit the impressive archaeological site. The ruins that make up this place have a pre-Inca origin and as you walk, it will be possible to observe objects and remains of buildings from communities who lived there hundreds of years ago. Visit the community and the attractions of this
wonderful place immersed in the Andean culture.
Once you complete the hike, you will have lunch in the house of the family in charge of caring for the heritage of Juella. It will be an ideal time for resting and getting your energy up for the activities that await for us in the afternoon.
Before the activities, you will have a briefing from your experienced guide who will indicate the security measures and will teach all the techniques needed to perform the activities of climbing and rappelling. Then you prepare all climbing equipment and one by one will begin to climb. You will be able to choose the difficulty level according to the amount of meters we want to climb (between 20 and 70 meters). The type of climbing that you will do is called "top rope" as the climber is always secured to a rope on both the ascent and descent.
From here, you will be able to see the different colors of the beautiful terrain and hills from this high.
Once finished, you will go to the bus and back to Tilcara. The tour ends at your hotel around 6pm.
