Cliffs of Moher Cruise
Sail away on a 1-hour boat cruise beneath the Cliffs of Moher, and breathe in the best of the Wild Atlantic Way as seen from just off the coast. Keep an eye out for puffins and guillemots that make their nests on the cliffs, and visit sea stacks and hidden sea caves the riddle the rugged coast. Tours are available from March through October, and you'll never forget seeing the Cliffs of Moher from this stunning, sea level vantage.
This boat tour departs from Doolin Pier at 12pm, 3pm, and 5:15pm, so you can choose the cruise that fits best with your schedule. Upon arrival at Doolin Pier, collect your boarding pass at at the ticket office and prepare to board the ferry. Before you've even left the dock, there's the chance of spotting local dolphins that splash in the harbor waters, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for marine life throughout the cruise.
After 20 minutes of cruising along the wild Atlantic coast, the boat will arrive at "An Branaunmore" sea stack that juts vertically out of the water. From here you can make out the Cliffs of Moher rising 700 feet (212 meters) from the sea, and the Captain will offer some commentary of not only how these cliffs were formed, but the seabirds that make them their home. Crane your neck at the sheer cliff faces and watch waves as they batter the coast, and cruise past the hidden sea cave from the movie, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."
After spending time on the deck snapping and photos and marveling at the awesome scenery, the cruise ends when your ferry returns to the docks at Doolin Pier.
