The tour commences outside the visitor information center in Queen Street Mall, and passes many of Brisbane's early colonial buildings and historical sites, sculptures, monuments and street art, all with their own story to tell.
You will walk through the shopping heart of the city, including the heritage listed Brisbane Arcade.
As you visit King George Square you will learn of the history of Brisbane City Hall, passing by a monument to early settlers. Moving down to the city's first laneway, you will see examples of Brisbane street art and sculptures. Enjoy the Botanical Gardens and see one of the oldest trees grown for commercial purposes, followed by a stroll along the Brisbane River. Moving out of the gardens you will visit Queensland's oldest church; where you will discover a truly beautiful sculpture.
Your walk will conclude along the riverfront at Eagle Street Pier, taking in a spectacular view of the Story Bridge, where your guide will provide you with some suggestions for lunch and what to do during the rest of your time in Brisbane.
